Query Not an Issue #22

I am using this plugin in one of my project. Thanks for a good plugin. I am trying to understand for example if the model has been optimized already in terms minimum support material necessary using Cura or any other software, then how do I find out whether it still needs improvement of it is already been optimized (or rortated)? Because this tool simply rotates what ever model I use. It will be useful to know this information. So I don't need to apply the plugin unnecessarily.

Please let me know or please point me to the right direction where I can find this information? I can't see this in the wiki

Thank You Shan

Hi @shan75 I'm glad you like it! In the next update, the Tweaker-software will yield an printability-score between 0 and 100% that is comparable between objects and can be used to check if it still needs improvement. The release is planned in January or early February and I want to talk with Cura to display the printability-score in the GUI and maybe suggest support material.

What behaviour do you expect or wish if you auto-orientate a model and the printability is not good?

Best regards Chris

Good Morning Thank you very much for answering my query. Firstly, this tweaker fails for lot of models. Not quite sure why. It just shows nan in the output in command window. I don't know how can I improve this. Secondly, I need to know, the model I am trying has been optimized already or not. So I can inform the user that the model has been already optimized or rotated.  I will check the Printability score as you have mentioned in your email below, if that is the solution.
