EOL use ng, https://github.com/minecraft-linux/mcpelauncher-manifest/tree/ng, This works with 0.12 - 1.16.10.x (excl. beta 1.16.0.67/68), This won't work with the current 1.16.20-200 Versions

Minecraft 1.17 won't download #268

I'm running the latest version of the launcher, and well this message comes up: "To use the download feature, Minecraft: Bedrock Edition has to be purchased on the Google Play Store. If you are trying to download a beta version, please make sure you are in the Minecraft beta program on Google Play. and then try again after a while (joining the program might take a while)."

I'm running it on my heavily upgraded original model Mac Pro.

I've purchased the game and am in the beta program so WTH?

Works for me (x86_64), but you are right it misses another common problem.

* You should not join beta for 1.17 release (you might be still able to get stable versions via the launcher, but not supported by google)

* Your login might be expired and you need to sign out and sign in again

I solved it by manually telling it to download the 32 bit version, as although the CPUs in here are 64 bit, they lack the required instructions to run the 64 bit builds of the game. However, it crashes immediately and 1.16.221, while is able to get to the menu, freezes towards the end of loading a world.
