so I tried updating my flatpak and I got into Minecraft still scroll well is messed up and I tried different versions and still messed up

You found the arm launcher bug, which I couldn't fix for more than a year. Scrolling up and down works on x86, x86_64 just fine. Please help me how to tell the game to scroll down on arm, I tried everything from 0-255, changing the calling convention etc. nothing helped to scroll down. This is too complicated for me.

Are you sure you know the recipe? You need to put two wooden planks vertically. Were you invited to his realm? If so, did you have an Xbox Live account?

It probably means that the x86 client is unstable, since I’m using an ARM client and haven’t experienced a problem like this. At least, not yet. I haven’t crafted anything yet since I’ve spent the most of my time gathering gear in creative mode to practice killing the Ender Dragon in survival mode.
I'm currently working around the crafting issue by shift clicking on the crafting recipe and getting a whole stack at once.

No, since this bug exists in the game code itself, we can't fix/create a plug-in unless we have access to the source code of the game, which we will never get...

As mentioned in several place by now if you righclick in the recipy book you will craft the item ( use shift/crtl for modifying how many you craft )
It's anoying but since the alternative is playing on your phone... ;)

@GabeCoder This is a regression of a Workaround for x86_64 on arm, go back to v0.1 and it will be normal

That’s actually a better loading screen. That screen shows you the actual progress instead of using bars.

That's very strange - because it works flawlessly for me, and has for as far back as I can recall - is there any information I could contribute here that would be helpful ? ( as a way of doing differential diagnostic )

If I open it on my PC AMD64, X86, X86_64 it allways worked. Only if I / you open it on ARM or ARM64, scrolling down doesn't work / never worked.
Other way around crafting is still working on ARM or ARM64, but not on intel / amd.
Yeah, on ARM it doesn't work. They have messed up some cast in some way that breaks on ARM. In Toolbox I hook MouseMapper::tick and directly call InputEventQueue::enqueueButtonPressAndRelease with 1164155162 for scroll up and 425082297 for scroll down.

You could try snowman. It's quite simple compared to the functionality of IDA, but it does allow de-compiling to pseudo-code and is completely open source. https://github.com/yegord/snowman
A closer alternative to IDA would be Ghidra, which is a reverse engineering tool the NSA released a couple years back. https://ghidra-sre.org/

All of the 1.17 betas seem to launch. However, there are a lot of graphical glitches in the game like glowing sheep. These are the same glitches that occur when you launch 1.16.221 with the -fes option. Also, it crashes when you load a world with extended height. The crash might be because the Launcher doesn't support worlds with extended height yet. Realms almost always work perfectly fine.

The crash which occurs when an extended height world is loaded, is present in all devices android versions, device models, architectures don't matter...

The problem is that UWP ( windows "universal" thingy that the store runs on ) isn't supported by wine

It might be possible to make it work by copying the required dlls from a virtual machine or another PC into the Wine prefix.
I think that there is nothing wrong with Realms on this Launcher. I sometimes have trouble joining using this launcher, but I have just as much trouble joining on my iPad. I think it is a bedrock bug that will be fixed in a future update. A lot of the problems are due to MCPE-12347
Crashes are less common when starting the official server and joining the server from the Launcher. If you are on macOS, you can use Wine to run the server (requires fixing the missing dll files).
please update it to 1.17.2.01 because my friends minecraft version is the latest and he cant downgrade it since he is playing on his phone and i want to play with him but im in an older version i dont care if this takes you a while i just really want it to happen

I can't hear sound in 1.16+ minecraft bedrock versions
If you downloaded minecraft bedrock in snap store or gnome-software, go and search for mcpelauncher and give permissions and deactivate the 2 options of playing and recording sound, if you did, mcpelauncher will have a sound again.

@Bugg404 The Google Play Store download API only ever let's you download the latest release (or the latest beta if you are in the beta program). You would need to already have a copy of older versions in order to play them.
That's weird I'm able to download older versions just fine. @Kas-tle is right about that Google play Store doesn't support it. Does it only work for some people like me? Maybe reword the "errormessage" someday.
This "errormessage" does also appear, if https://github.com/minecraft-linux/mcpelauncher-versiondb/blob/master/versions.json has an invalid versioncode for the selected version. The versiondb is handmade.
Which older versions doesn't download? (only relevant if latest works) I don't need to join beta to be able to download previous non beta versions, but joining it doesn't let it fail for me. Older versions doesn't run well in the latest launcher, 1.16.10 doesn't start since some updates.
Please avoid using the snap, I don't support it. The maintainer "the sonicmaster" does illegal stuff.
I just tested 1.17.11.01 through --enable-devmode, and it works fine with local worlds, both on creative and survival. Hadn't tested realms yet, but I'll assume it works too
