Problems on running STT #13

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
We downloaded the latest version of STT and tried to run the demos in STT
package. We met the following problems.

1) When we run NASA_9AugDemo project, we can not get any maps via Google
map imagery links. Google maps are very important to our research. Can you
tell us how to get Google maps with STT?

2) When we click the links in Coverage Data and GOES Datasets, we got the
following error messages:

“Error while reading data from http://vast.uah.edu/vast/netcdf?
Cause: Service Exception: An SOS request must contain at least one
observable ID”

“Error while updating data provider GOES IR WCS
Cause: Error while reading data from WCS server
http://vast.uah.ed/vast/goes?
Cause: start Node cannot be null”

“Error while reading data from http://vast.uah.edu/vast/goesIntersect?
Cause: Service Exception: An SOS request must contain at least one
observable ID”

“Error while reading data from
http://smartdev.itsc.uah.edu:81/CCDOM/services/PhenomenaDetection
Cause: Connection timed out: connect”

Your reply and solution is high appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi, Xiaokun,

STT3 is still in a beta state. There are issues with the download version we
are
working to resolve. For your particular questions:

1) I think Google at some point restricted their access to the GoogleMap data.
 I
need to check and see if they have opened the Map data up via some other
channel, but
as far as I know, that data is no longer available. Our developer Alex can
confirm.
He originally enabled the GoogleMap data in the client.
As a proxy for this data, we are now supporting Windows Live Local Virtual Earth
data. This shows up in some projects under the item names:
MS Roads Imagery
MS Aerial Imagery
MS Hybrid Imagery

2) Hmm, appears our GOES data service is misbehaving again. I will check into
this.

I am in the process of cleaning up the project files and hope to have an
improved
binary version of STT3 up shortly. In the meantime, if you can send me your
direct
email, I will send you a project file that should behave a little better.
Thanks for
your patience,

Tony Cook
