Let me install 1.2.14 and see what is needed to get ChurchCRM working... I'll try to get that for you over the next few days. I'm afraid we have done a good job with auto upgrade as we still working on our 1st release but I'm happy to help.
Hi program developers, I am a newbie with both ChurchInfo and your fork, ChurchCRM, and try to get my head around both programs and their differences. Re your fork, can you tell me if it is still experimental or already stable before I invest too much time and possibly recommend it to my congregation. I am writing from Adelaide, South Australia. Many thanks, Gerhard
A lot of the changes from churchinfo to this repo are cosmetic - @gdawoud put a lot of effort into making the UI a lot more pleasant / modern / responsive / insert buzzword here, and a few feature tweaks here and there.
I've been running this fork for about a month at my church of about 60 people, and it's been working excellently. I must say though, that as with any open source software, there is always an added level of risk. If you're technically inclined and willing to accept that risk, then my recommendation is that you try it out, and ask us if you have any questions! Also, report any issues you may find in the issues section of this repo.
I saw you were already in the IRC channel, but I just missed you. Maybe we can chat another time.
Hi Charles,
thanks for your message, and I am glad that I have received an email copy of your github response -- I can't find the forum page any more where I have contacted you first.
For the questions I have and the situation here, can we please communicate directly and not via Github, as long as it does not involve technical issues? Would you have a direct email address?
Many greetings, Gerhard
found it again ... :-)
I have come across three first issues after some testing:
Crossan007@gmail.com, or ping me in the IRC channel. On Dec 13, 2015 12:41 AM, "baluo" notifications@github.com wrote:

upgrade how to doc is now tracked in https://github.com/ChurchCRM/CRM/issues/57
I am not a coder or developer so this may be out of place.
But I'd like to replace my current ChurchInfo 1.2.14 with ChurchCRM. I have actually done so and pointed to my existing datbase. I get an error about the MySQL and PHP schema being incomatible. I edited the CheckVersion.php and got it to work but am I missing something that would have updated this automatically (like Churchinfo does when you upgrade)?
