When the TV is in deep sleep (~0.5W), it cannot be powered on over network even though Remote start is enabled. This has been tested with:
All criteria mentioned in _this troubleshooting article are met. While ATV1 (XD93) was too sensitive in that regard (see Bonjour on Synology NAS prevents TV deep sleep_), ATV2 does not seem to react to anything anymore. The network is the same for both.
Enabling IP Control is no real fix as it prevents deep sleep altogether with the TV permanently consuming >20W in standby.
