Comparison/Validation with observed data

It would be great if you could add the following supplementary tabs (and functions to the package):

• Tab "observed data" to import a .csv or .shp or .gpkg file reporting observed outbreaks (points) or measured prevalences (polygons) for each epidemiological unit, and displaying (and export) related maps (a first raw map and a second epi units' map displaying the presence/absence of outbreaks or displaying the measured risk/prevalence)
• Tab "AUC and ROC curve" to compare risk prediction with observed data

This is interesting to do, but I believe goes beyond the scope of the package. The goal of the package is to produce the risk maps based on risk factors. You can then validate these maps with other tools with that specific purpose.

I understand that the validation step may be considered part of the process of producing the map. But I'd rather focus on doing one thing well.

At the very least, it is not a priority to extend the functionality of the package in this direction for the moment. I will close the issue, which will remain archived for future reference. Perhaps at some point we decide to address this.
