Sort order not saving properly #48

Closed adetia9 closed 9 years ago

First reported by client here:
https://mycircletree.com/client-area/ct-admin/supporttickets.php?action=view&id=5488

Firstly i did red button to sort them A/B com,net in front. After i started to drag & drop the rest of tlds, the animated indicator (look at attachment i saved) continues to animate but nothing was saved after each dragged tld. After i've reloaded my page i saw that nothing has been saved.

I think the problem is in this ajax function of saving after each drop drown... Better leave it with page reload on every change.

Also John has attached a videocast of the issue as well.

You'll notice in the video John clicks the red button after sorting. (and thus, resorts), so I think there are 2 issues at work here.

  1. The client (who says is NOT using the red button later), says save orders are not saving properly after drag and drop.
  2. Both John and I have now been guilty of clicking that red button thinking we were saving the sort instead of applying a new bulk sort. I think its because in our minds we need to save the drop down, so you go to click the button, undoing your changes.

as we somewhat expected the change to the sort page did not resolve this customer's issue. Per the client: Google Chrome Version 45.0.2454.85 (64-bit) Macbook osx yosemite

client says issue was resolved, so closing this out, with the changes made to the page, will wait and see if this come sback up again.
