User interface of news tab feature (rebase) #694

@mikozet I tried to rebase all the news work, I think something has gone wrong. Can you try to pull this 396-rebase and see if you find the problem?

Before merging this feature-news-log is identical to release branch that will become main on monday

@mikozet it was the mui imports that needed to be updated, please check now in the preview that things seem up to date and we can merge this PR. Then after we merge this, you can pull and create a new branch for new work on this feature from the feature-news-log branch. Looks fine now to me.
