This is related to #16 but I think it is important enough to deserve it's own issue.

As @ana0 put it, we need a contingency plan for various potential FUBAR episodes. e.g.

What if our contracts are compromised? How will we roll out patches / new contracts?
What if our servers are compromised? Do we have a password backup / recovery solution that is robust enough to deal with this?
Do we have backups of transactions? How will they be restored etc?
