Is this project dead? #247

Looking at the lack of recent commits, and the backlog of pull requests and issues, it appears that this project may no longer be under maintenance. Can an owner of the project comment on the current level of maintenance of this project? The TLS1.2 issue in particular will be critical for us, but the general lack of maintenance makes me wonder if it's a good idea for us to take a dependency on this project. Thanks for having a look.

Also, I sent an email to the email alias listed as the owner for this project, and that email bounced.
