Hi all, below is an update on the request of DoIT to support the upcoming release of the Climate Ready Boston report. Please let us know via email or Google doc if you have additional questions; we'll continue to update the Google doc and reach out in the meantime if we need help with some of the items we're working on outlined below.

Environment team - please chime in if I glossed over anything important.

Thanks again!! Jess

1.) Shareable maps Environment role: provide information and clarify any questions about assets request. All images are labeled as downloaded from here. DoIT role: fulfill 3 asset requests (all animated gifs); provide artistic or technical feedback about requests if you think they could be done better

Request #1: Current Choice, Future Impacts animated gif Break up portions of image “ES_6_BRAG Diagrams_20160509_Mitigation importance” into simple explanation of how today’s energy and pollution-related choices impact tomorrow’s reality.

Request #2: Flooding impacts animated gif Combine the following images to display one at a type and show impacts of flooding:

Remove key from images and/or make years and inches of SLR more visible

Request #3: Probability for storm event animated gif Break up “ES_17_Progressing flood potential-04[plsfixliklihoodspelling” into 3 separate images of each map. Add years and frequency likelihood for each image.

2.) Content that clearly unites CRB and IB2030

Request #1: Image and/or other content type that depicts what Imagine Boston is and how Climate Ready Boston is related. (Does this already exist for other initiatives? Highly engaged partners still express confusion about what Imagine Boston is, and the relationship/the implications of a “citywide plan” and our initiatives, including Climate Ready Boston.)

This image (or other content type) is not necessary, but would be useful addition to ongoing communications from Greenovate team.

5.) Digital engagement Environment role: create and distribute social media toolkit for stakeholders, create Boston.gov event page for launch event DoIT role: TBD -- we're still working on offline components and will revisit this piece for deeper digital engagement
