Is the cable still attached?
Yes. The cox complained that is is just difficult to steer (jerks after a certain point). On Monday, 23 April 2018, 11:35:07 BST, NSinclair94 notifications@github.com wrote:

That doesn't make a lot of sense, unless it's bent, maybe? I'd just straighten it up.
The only other things I can think are plausible are the yoke being on backwards, allowing it to over-steer, or the cable being frayed and getting caught on the loops.
More info would be handy 👍
So it just sounds as if there is little librication. Could you spray some WD-40 on both ends of the rudder. It may be difficult to steer if too much rudder is being used, it should be ~25° max otherwise it starts acting as a brake
Hi Jess, Could you better explain to Nicholas the problem with the steering of Doreen? Eyal On Monday, 23 April 2018, 12:10:19 BST, Benedict notifications@github.com wrote:

Sure. Basically what was happening was that the wire was sticking when I’d pull with the left hand, like there would be some resistance before it would move. This was not an issue for small adjustments but on corners, which made taking bow side corners difficult. We stopped outside Pembroke BH and I got out to fiddle with it, and it went smoothly for a while but then got stuck again. I didn’t see any bent parts. The issue with the cox boxes may have been wiring or may have been the older cox boxes, not sure on that one. Jess

Steering mechanism just needed oiling. In future can you make that your first port of call.
Doreen
Cox (Jessica) complained about steering problems - the rudder jerking at one point
