Drained coxbox battery #286

Boat name or ID

A coxbox battery (I think the serial number started with 23 and had a lot of 9s)

Problem description

The coxbox we used today in Doreen had a full battery at the beginning on the outing but was empty at the end. The battery is one of the ones that are charging detached from the coxboxes.

It may be a one off thing, but logging it to keep track.

It might also be that we were so fast that we broke the sound barrier and the sound had to be faster to catch up so it needed more energy. I don´t know, I am not an engineer, but it sounds very logical to me

Each coxbox should have an asset number on it, somewhere. Either on the face or under the rubber which looks like CB-A-2. What is its number?

This happened today again. I used the yellow and maroon coxbox. The battery didn't have an identification like the one you mention. It had a sticker with a number in its base, but the picture I took was too blurry to see what it says. palmface

This is the unreliable battery. Important to avoid taking this for races.

I will take it home and try to charge it, for all we know it could be the extension which is a bag of balls

This battery keeps turning up and causing problems - most recently cutting out during seat racing at the weekend. I've taken it home with me so nobody uses it in the meantime.

Let me know what you'd like done with it 😄

John are you free to meet the guys from NK this weekend, would be Saturday at about 5pm?
