pdfapi Default email - Githubissues

Hi

I am not sure if this would be classed as an issue but here goes.

When creating a rule to send out a pdf (through pdfapi) the mailing is automatically sent from the civicrm default 'from email address'.

Is it possible on a 'per rule' basis to define the 'FROM" email address to send out the pdf?

We have the requirement for different rules to send out different pdf's from different email addresses.

Certainly possible! I reckon it would be about 4 hours of work max (so 400 euros ex VAT). Interested in funding?

I wondered if I could seek your assistance on another project.

We hold our annual flagship event in Cologne each April and have been using civi-event to handle registrations through our website. Civi-event is great but does not really work that well for us because we want to list the event fees/payment against the organisation rather than the individual.

Because civievent does not allow this it creates a lot of work for us as we have to replicate the payment in the organisation record and soft credit the individual so we are able to send them an invoice accordingly.

Can you help us?

The solution we are looking for is online event registration where the individual fees/payment is attributed to the 'current employer' organisation with the following conditions;

up to 5 individuals can be registered online at once
when registering the individual will have to detail their current employer
all registered individuals will be listed as current employees of the selected or neworganisation
if the 'current employer organisation' is a live member of EuropeActive then a reduced fee is applied per delegate @ €399
if the current employer is not a member then a higher 'standard' fee is applied @ €499
if the registration is before a specified date then an 'early bird' rate applies to live member employees @ €349
if the registration is before a specified date then an 'early bird' rate applies to non-member employees @ €449

It would also be great if individuals that do not have an employer can register as an individual with the fees/payment attributed to their individual record. This is not however a requirement.

The process will involve the usual email confirmations etc.

Is this something that can be done through civievent and civirules or would webforms be a solution? We would like to have a re-usable solution so this can be applied to other events.

This is quite urgent for us and something we would like to set up immediately as we have to enable registrations within the next week or so. Could you please advise if this is possible and if so how, how much and how quickly?

thanks for your request! Reading through you request quickly it should certainly be feasible but will require a little more investigation on how we would do this exactly. At this point in time we are all pretty full with work so I do not think we would be able to realise this within a week. We would potentially be able to set step 1 :do some initial investigation in January but not a lot sooner I am afraid.

I would also recommend you test this kind of functionality carefully before using it, and this sounds like a very ambitious schedule....

Let me know if you want us to plan step 1 as soon as we can?
