Each position now has a set of aliases associated with it. This allows you to group disparate positions (eg all positions in Cambridge) together without having to do much typing. Now we can put up surveys and all-candidates meetings with wide ranges without making the position lists huge.
Note that if something is in an alias it will show up for all members of that alias.
There is a file called aliases.csv but it is for descriptions only. The real set of aliases is what is included in nominees.csv. I hope the two stay in sync with each other, however.
