currently CH seems to be a central platform which is ok for bootstrapping the project. But I see different problems with that if the project grows and gets rolled out for more countries:

So I suggest, that the project get's better features to deploy local instances and thus less coupled to civilhub.org Maybe in long run, we might think about federation and other concepts for decentralization ;-)

Hi, We have the option to add moderators that can manage cities. However, as the platform is still under construction we do not have that many of them. If you like to, we can give you the status of a moderator so that you can manage your city(s).

If I understood correctly your second "bullet" you suggest to implement local dialect changes? If that is the case then we want to make it happen but first we want to make a stable global version.

Perfomance will not be an issuse as we have a system in place that allows us to add new servers in a matter of minutes. Currently we are capable of supporting a few million users if need arises.

As for now, our servers are in France but we can either transfer all of our server to Germany (if the need arises) or redirect people visiting CivilHub from Germany to German server.

Thanks for your time, Bartek Bujakowski

Also please take care about the privacy issues. A lot of activists don't trust cloud services anymore (see NSA, ...) so maybe it's a feature to support local setups in the spirit of http://redecentralize.org ?
