[SUGGESTION] - Smaller feeds? #1

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I'm planning to start uploading a pack to both Curseforge and Modrinth. I already have Curseforge set up for Claptrap, and it works amazingly. Problem is, if I wanted to also do Modrinth, it'd be two huge things covering the Discord channel, and that's really not necessary. So here's my idea:

Describe the solution you'd like I'd be great if there was an option that can make notifications from specific platform or project show less information, instead with just a few links to the project, changelog and whatnot, instead of showing a full embed with changes and less useful information, like the Game Versions.

Describe alternatives you've considered Not much.

Hey there.

Thanks for your request. So we currently do have "Compact" notifications, which only show the file name, version and icon.

This is currently per server, and not per project and only available from the bot dashboard.

I like the idea of a customizable embed (or embed template). It's definitely something we can implement, but you will have to give me a couple of days, since it will be a complex operation. In the meantime, it might be easier to deploy a per platform compact notification option, which would take a day or two to implement.

Hey. Just want to update you, I am still working on your request. I am just dealing with 1.20 and the whole curse malware headache at the moment.

We were luckily not affected by the malware, but we're working with curse and modrinth to provide better protection in the future for stuff like this.

It may be likely that we will be adding a scanner to claptrack as well to notify if a file update is potentially infected, but I can't say much about that yet

It's been ages, but with the new update of today we finally added a way of selecting Compact or Full notifications per project.

This feature is only available through the dashboard, and the global server settings still takes priority.

Custom embeds will eventually become a thing. Let's just let this update settle for a while
