Windows: User accounts with spaces are unable to install Minecraft dependencies. #39

1.Make a user account with a space in it.

  1. Install the launcher.
  2. Go to the Minecraft tab
  3. Attempt to download the dependencies.
  4. The launcher will freeze up.

Intended behavior: The launcher should work regardless of what special characters the account user folder has in it(excluding the & symbol).

This is still not working as intended.

Here is what one of our teachers who had the bug had to say:

"Ethan Prince

So far it's off to a good start, last time I had to run the program as admin to get it to download the jdk packages and eclipse

but now they're downloading regularly

It's still creating a new user folder.

Last time though I think it was creating the new folder for eclipse but this time it seems to be creating the new folder just for the jdk files.

I also believe it's specifically the jdk files because the download button won't go away for the jdk files on the app, even once they're fully downloaded - so I think the program might be looking for them in the "correct" location while they're being stored in the incorrect user folder"
