3 years ago Unfortunately nicks pose a few issues with using them as targets for commands
- Multiple players can have the same nick
- Nicks can have spaces in them
- Nicks can have chat tokens in them
So it's not something that I am really keen on implementing
Although not really ideal, /ignore nicks should work as a temporary solution if required

Some people have an instinct of trying to use commands on people who are nicked and type in their nickname instead of their username. But the commands only allow you to reference players via their username, the only way to do that is to use /whonick on their nickname and type in the user that came from the output.
