I tried all the troubleshooting steps, but my windows is just mirroring the display, and 'Extend' doesn't seem to work. What should I do?

Can you confirm that the virtual display is created correctly in the system settings?

You can also try https://github.com/ClassicOldSong/Apollo/releases/tag/apollo-0.0.0-preview to see if it works for you.

I dont think so a virtual display got created automatically. I cant find the steps to do that in the readme. I have connected an iPad and my windows 11 pc via an USB c cable. Should I take any special care for this or should I get a usb-c to HDMI cable and the issue would be resolved?

You need to install Moonlight on your iPad in order to use Sunshine/Apollo.

jufel commented 3 weeks ago

I use Sunshine and Moonlight on the iPad.

ClassicOldSong commented 3 weeks ago

Then you need to start streaming on your iPad using Moonlight.

jufel commented 3 weeks ago

Yes i did that and its only mirroring the windows screen; even when I click extend. Ive also tried the Troubleshooting method for the same problem, but no changes still.

So have you seen any virtual screen created temporarily when the stream starts?

Or can you try Apollo as I mentioned above to see if it works?

jufel commented 3 weeks ago

I do have Parsec VDD installed...but i dont know how to see if any virtual screen is created or not.

Could you just try Apollo and see if it works? Apollo is a far more advanced solution than Widecar, and requires almost 0 additional setup.

By the way what version of Windows are you using?
