Description

You can choose to take the quantity of an item when it is on the ground, but not from the backpack to another destination

Not sure I understand this issue, are you referring to the Grid Containers or regular backpack? For regular it works as normal, for grid you need to use CTRL+CLICK. It's covered in the help tooltip in the main backpack header.
