Seems a bit odd of a request considering how you can do quite a decent amount of damage to a target while simply CCing them, would you do the same to rogue trinkets like bone link fetish or vial of shadows which also (hopefully) break CCs? And rightfully so since all damage proc items ramp up the later we get into the expansion dealing more and more damage
The most aggregious offender here is obviously the mastery effect, since it's a non-optional choice (i.e. you can't get rid of it).
But yes, I believe it's awful game design to have CC abilities (or other non-damaging abilities) themselves proc a damage effect (e.g., Blind proccing Vial of Shadows) - causing the game to devolve into more PvEing and less thoughtful and skillful plays involving CC. I am fairly certain this was just an oversight / technical limitation when making the items/mastery back in the day.
PS: It makes you look less annoying and more of a good faith debater if you don't add a laugh emoji to everything you disagree with.
Agree with the suggestion that your own mastery shouldn’t work against you, because you can’t choose it.
Disagree with the idea that certain items or enchant shouldn’t work against you, because you choose to equip / use them. (Cunning of the Cruel breaks cc too).

How is this even up for debate? those trinkets don't proc off CC like gouge, blind, or sap. It's the BLF aoe damage that procced from other target that break CC, which sounds fair to me.
And if it does procc off sap or blind then yes those should be fixed too.
Description
The following spells can proc the Wild Quiver (mastery effect) proc which is a massive problem (unintendly breaking CC):
The following items can also proc damage on all shots (including the non-damaging ones listed above) which is a massive problem (breaking CC):
The suggestion is to either:
Note: Since Flintelock's Woodchucker and Vishanka is not in the game yet, it is impossible for us (players) to know how it will work on Classic, just adding it for completeness (i.e. fix everything at once).
