going into a new singleplayer/LAN game
Can't reproduce, probably fixed
restarting the game does not save this name at all.
Still an issue as of v2.11
The issue is that the default value of Avatar_Name
is clobbering the $pref::Player::LANName
variable - Retail loads the value of the pref upon creating the control.
Edit: This was fixed in v1.7

.

Bug Description
After you are in-game and change your LAN name, going into a new singleplayer/LAN game or restarting the game does not save this name at all.
