Installing IntelliInput (http://mcc.mcsv.jp/IntelliInput/Download) makes the whole game run slower. This occurred with profiles with only IntelliInput, Fugue, and Scalar installed. This mod has not been updated in almost 7 years, there is an alternative mod called CocoaInput, but the version that supports 1.12.2 cannot be used on windows.

You should be able to use IME without any of them

I already know that it is possible to type Japanese without using this mod. However, by adding IntelliInput, you will be able to see the characters you are typing in the game in chat, creative item searches, etc., and it will also display conversion suggestions.

I am unable to replicate this with Latest Cleanroom + Fugue + Scalar 2 + IntelliInput 2.6.

By latest version, do you mean the Action build? The Action build could not be started with or without IntelliInput.

I created a completely new profile (deleted all options.txt and config folders, resource packs, etc.) and tried two Oracle/RedHat builds of Java21 with no improvement.

I tested on the latest action for Cleanroom and Fugue. Also I used Zulu 21, but I will check with your configuration.
