ClearVolume / clearvolume

ClearVolume is a real-time live 3D visualization library designed for high-end volumetric microscopes such as SPIM and DLSM microscopes. With ClearVolume you can see live on your screen the stacks acquired by your microscope instead of waiting for offline post-processing to give you an intuitive and comprehensive view on your data.

Change the background color. #34

As far as I see, currently there is no option to change the background color (currently it is black), which is very important if I wanna use clear volume and put an image in a paper.

I would also like to suggest:

This is usually best done at post-processing time, by for example inverting the colors. You can also ‘recolor’ in PhotoShop or Illustrator… it’s quite easy to do with these tools.

Nevertheless, we will consider adding control of the background color.

I would also like to suggest:

a reference point option Could you exaplain what you mean?

option for snapshot (I can use stop/start recording, but would be very nice to have this option) Yes, that’s currently missing… good idea.

an option for creating surface would be really nice (from creating mesh methods like marching cubes or marching tetrahedrons) We can already do surface renderings. Just press key (as in Image) Are you using ClearVolume from within FiJi or directly using the library as part of a microscope software?

Cheers :-)

Thanks for the answer, for the post processing part, I am not really agree, esp if I have a big image and a bounding box, post processing is not trivial also in many regions would need lots of work. Reference point for your bounding box or your coordinate system would be very useful, esp in series of images when I wanna show an evolution process through series of images in 3-D+t, currently if I wanna use clear volume I have to set different images by eyes which is not accurate enough. I am using your surface rendering option and is really good. I am using clear volume in fiji and it is a really good work.
