Just wanted to leave a note here for anybody else who is trying to run this on a macbook and sees Precision touchpad exists: no, that you can install an open-source Precision touchpad driver for macs from https://github.com/imbushuo/mac-precision-touchpad.

You'll also find, once you install the driver, that Windows provides a tap-tap-drag action which is somewhat similar to the three-finger drag (though it doesn't allow you to take your finger off and reposition it like the three-finger-drag does)
