We recently introduced a new cc-domain-management component (see #1090) and added support for Element Internals when the component was in review (see #1001).
The cc-domain-management component does not rely on Element Internals for now and still controls form elements with its state.
It would be nice to investigate how much we could rely on Element Internals for this component.
