Open robotic-gamer opened 3 years ago

robotic-gamer commented 3 years ago

Describe the bug

when you burn a fungal zombie it becomes a scorched zombie that can revive

Steps To Reproduce

burn an unpulped fungal zombie

Expected behavior

fungal zombies when burnt do not become scorched zombies

Do not take a screenshot of the crashing window. Please provide the crash logs in the "Additional context" -->

Versions and configuration

Additional context

there is a small chance this is deliberate but more likely fungal zombies are in the zombie group that can become scorched zombies.

I've seen that as well in 0.E2 stable (cleaning out a fungal tower near a town, with town zombies being converted and then scorched when I burned the whole mess down). Several of the fungalized zombies rose as scorched ones after the fire had spread to where they lay.

The burns into is here https://github.com/CleverRaven/Cataclysm-DDA/blob/master/data/json/monsters/fungus.json#L345

Someone would need to make a new "scorched fungal zombie". Alternatively the burn into could be jsut removed so the burnt fungal zombies would come back as normal fungal zombies.

Or they could come back as non-fungus, non-scorched zombies - the fungus got burnt out of them, but there wasn't enough tissue for them to come back as scorched zombies (which have a somewhat-hardened outer shell IIRC).
