Add Enchanted Melee Weapon "Mods" for Magiclysm #49724

I've been thinking about something like that for a while now... What if we had mods for melee weapons just like we have for guns? But instead of just applying flat bonuses, those mods had extra effects to make Magiclysm melee a little bit more interesting...

My idea was to add slots like "Pommel", "Handguard" or "Blade" for weapons, having a Pommel of True Strike that increases the base to-hit bonus of that weapon or a Lesser Handguard of Blocking that increases the likelihood of a weapon guard skill being triggered.

Why just limit ourselves like that? Why not adding a Hammer Head of Smite that has a very low chance of casting the Smite spell on hit? Or a Dagger of Syphon that drains Bionic Energy for your enemies?

Having blade enchantments like Gold Pine Resin from Dark Souls acting like magical dusts or oils that have temporary effects like extra damage against alien creatures when applied to your weapon.

The idea of having the recipes for those artifacts hidden on a recluse mage hideout or being sold in the Forge of Wonders for a high price seems to be enough to balance it, maybe even adding an Artifact Craftsmanship proficiency to make it more challenging to craft.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Could probably try to do that by myself but considering how much free time and experience in coding I have it would take a long while before something came out of it.

Better leave that to experience coders that may find my idea worth a shot.

Gold Pine Resin from Dark Souls, if those oils and powders enchantments are added, they should probably be easier to come by compared to the other actual weapon mods since their effects are temporary.

Overall I think it's a nice idea, just don't know how hard it'll affect Magiclysm's balance.
