Keep maps in storage to retain their benefits #73090

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

There are quite a few types of map items in the game and I think it would make them more meaningful if you had to keep them around in some form (physical or digital) in order to know their revealed locations. It would make sense to look at a map that you already have and at a glance see the things that it reveals.

Solution you would like.

This would make binder or notebook type items useful to keep around, and it could give some added functionality to cell phones and tablet PCs by allowing you store them digitally. Being able to activate an already read map should only highlight the things that the map revealed, allowing you to cycle between all the POIs that a map containing several different types of locations might have revealed, which would be useful if your map is already cluttered with reveals and you don't know exactly what to search for by name.

Side note: This type of functionality could lead to more interesting maps, perhaps a map containing a small chunk of an area not directly around your character, such as a distant town on the back of a postcard or a printout of a map showing the location of a community yard sale, or you could have a map to a secret location that you would have normally overlooked.

Describe alternatives you have considered.
