I feel this should be optional, a z level is a long way up and it's reasonable that you'd want something that can jump a long way horizontally and not vertically

ADekema commented 5 months ago

This has been brought up before. Leaping enemies not jumping up a Z level is completely intentional. The reason is that jumping vertically takes a LOT more energy and is much more difficult than jumping horizontally. If you want enemies that can reatch you on the roofs you would have to add new jumping enemies or better enemies that can climb a bit (think devolved humans that turned back into monkeys).

Optional, sure. Also we could respect the distances involved in cross-z actions properly, that would also clear up the rooftop spear fun times.

The intention of who, pray tell?
