Ordering NPC to work on crafts freezes the game

Describe the bug

After doing this several times without incident, one morning ordering my NPC to continue her two crafts of human lard caused the game to hang, apparently permanently. Had to exit it out and try again, and got the same result

Steps to reproduce

uh I can't reproduce it any more? the third time I did it, after setting up the situation mostly the same and creating the save archive before pressing the button again, it just worked as intended

I guess this will be hard to fix if it's not reproducible, but I'll leave it here as a data point for when someone is trying to chase this down three months from now

Update: later that day, she stopped working on the more complete one (64%) and when I tried to tell her to go back to work, it froze again. I think it might be happening due to my power grid being out of power?

Does that mean you can reproduce it now?

I had this issue when order NPC continue working on tempered heavy chestplate. Which I find out the freeze is due to we run out of water. When I bring water back, then asking NPC to continue will not freeze.
