Pdcurses was used in the past, but was discarded as not as good as catacurses at some point. We can take a look and reevaluate though. On May 10, 2013 11:50 AM, "Xantrim" notifications@github.com wrote:
While looking into the Windows UI part of the game, I stumbled upon this:

It is a Windows port of ncurses and should in theory support everything ncurses does. I gave it a shot, and while it compiled, the borders are all messed up, window resizing didn't work, and I couldn't find anything to set the escape delay (maybe this isn't necessary on Windows?).
Maybe someone with some ncurses related skills could give it a shot? I think it would be a good step to unify the UI, as we could drop all the catacurse stuff.

Teseng is planning on doing more work on Catacurse at some point soon I think, so I doubt PDCurses will be able to win out really.
Oh, ok, as you are already aware of this, I'll close this one. And having a person dedicated to this is even better.
