Question about future dev of Cleverstack? #29

Hi there: I had a question about the long-term plans for Cleverstack? It looks great to me, but I'm worried about how much development will be committed to it from the core team?

On the product site, it says that only 4 weeks are dedicated with 3 developers. After that...? (Or maybe it is already after that?) I also note on the main developer's LinkedIn profile that he is no longer with Cleverstack as of this month. How will that affect things?

Sorry to be so rude in my questions! I love what you guys are doing... but I wonder when the ecosystem will develop (perhaps one of the side-effect problems with modularization? there's no central GH repo for people to fork/watch)? And I wonder the commitment level of the current team?

Hi Peter,

The core team is still Myself, Daniel Young and Daniel Durante but only Daniel Durante is still working for Clevertech - and he has been too busy on project work to contribute anything towards CleverStack and Daniel Young does not work for Clevertech anymore so he has not contributed anything in the past 3 months.

I have not worked for Clevertech for the last month and a half and have been doing work on the framework without pay because i created this framework with a dream and i want to complete that dream, Clevertech is not paying for any development or assigning any developers to CleverStack at all (They didn't pay me for the thousands of hours i have put into this framework before leaving Clevertech or ongoing and Kuty has personally told me that he has no budget for this project going forward unless it earns clevertech money...).

Being the person who wrote over 90% of the code in CleverStack (mostly 90% unpaid) i have a unique edge so i plan to finish the 52 tickets i have over the next month (unpaid so it might turn into two months) and then i will most probably move on to other things unless Clevertech can come to the party with funding

Thanks for the detailed response @pilsy. Just casually browsing through the code, I can tell you've done some seriously awesome work on this project. Super commendations for that. It's disappointing, though, that the project may ultimately stall out. I'm looking to choose a new stack/framework/etc for a couple of apps I have in mind... it's hard to go with one that might not have active development in a month or so. Maybe it can be integrated/ported into mean.io or another somehow?

I certainly hope it doesn't die off, i would think that after the awesome reception this framework has gotten that clevertech will come to the party - one can hope
