Update git metadata

When triggering builds manually, buildkite will update the meta-data so the commit message appears: https://github.com/buildkite/agent/blob/7e0166eebed5bf3cc289edae97145803429e75f9/bootstrap/bootstrap.go#L1448

This doesn't work at the moment because we use a custom checkout hook
