Hi, I was wondering if you wanted to add Typescript types / a declaration file? so it can be used in Typescript projects

@akrabat after looking into things (and learning coffescript) i would be happy to take over as maintainer, how would i go about doing this? My first action would be to migrate to Typescript and esm modules
