New elixir beacon version (1.0) is out #23

And TADAAAA': it's written in python. So the java server we are using is outdated and we should switch to the latest. More info to come!

This is the new Python implementation that both ELIXIR-FI and SE is planning to use & develop: https://github.com/CSCfi/beacon-python

The 1.0 specification is in this repository: https://github.com/ga4gh-beacon/specification/tree/release-1.0.0

We are accepting PRs, reviews, open issues or any kind of feedback to the beacon-python implementation so that we can further improve it. We are also looking to connect any beacons to https://beacon-ui-beacon.rahtiapp.fi/ (implementation is here: https://github.com/CSCfi/beacon-openshift)
