As a person running the iSeq I want the Sample sheet to be available on the iSeq before a run so that I can spend less time on manually fixing that.
Problem:
The sample sheet is needed to start a sequencing run on the iSeq. The sample sheet can be created using demux sheet fetch together with data in LIMS on any of our servers. We then need to transfer the sample sheet using an external device to the iSeq. It is also necessary for the person starting the iSeq to ask someone from team bioinfo prod to make the sample sheet.
We want the sample sheet to be automatically created and transferred to the iSeq instead.
Dependent on the Zube #3378 3.1 iSeq network connection US to be finished
Suggested solution:
crontab to check for newly created iSeq flowcells in LIMS that creates the sample sheet on thalamus into a specific folder (eg /home/hiseq.clinical/iSeq/samplesheets/)
automatic syncing of the content in the samplesheets folder to partition on iSeq computer. Ask IT about this.
create script based of checkfornewdemux.sh: checkfornewsmaplesheet.sh or something similar
DoD:
Sample sheet for each iSeq run automatically created on thalamus and then accessible on the iSeq before run start (either automatic or manual transfer)
Tolerances: suggestion to @Emilia-Ottosson-Laakso : if Zube #3378 can't be delivered, manual transfer is acceptable.
Q: @Emilia-Ottosson-Laakso How many iSeq runs are we talking about per time unit?
A: once a week
Q: What is the loss if we do the transfer manually?
