It would be awesome if you get "water" out ouf mug's. Like Farmers Delight & Expanded Delight does.

Maybe one Beer gives you 6 to 8 Water / Hydration. Or even different Hydration if you think that would fit.

It would complete our Aged Modpack

This is something I've already been considering for a couple of weeks now. However, beer (and alcohol in general) actually slightly dehydrates you IRL, and that's more the approach I'll likely take.

If you'd prefer positive hydration, I may implement a way to turn drinks non-alcoholic or implement a specific new "spice" to add "hydration".

BTW, someone else made the same request over on the CF comments a couple of weeks ago. I just slapped together a basic datapack for it (though it only adds 1 hydration to every beer). https://github.com/ClockwerkKaiser/Drink-Beer-and-Dehydration-Datapack/releases/tag/release

Just adding items to the dehydration tags is how FD and ED do it, I believe.

Yeah you're right, it dehydrates you, but i think in minecraft its a good compat.

Maybe if you drink beer, you have a chance the get the effect "thirst" (which dehydration implements)

xR4YM0ND commented 1 year ago

Oh ok i will test the datapack.

I thought this had to be modded ...

That may be the way I go. Perhaps something like a 50% chance by default, with a spice to increase it by 25%, and another to decrease it by 25% (both stackable)

Dehydration got a update Now you can give certain items certain Hydration (via Datapacks)

But yeah, effects are not included.

ClockwerkKaiser commented 1 year ago

I see that, though it seems like you can only grant positive hydration atm? I'll have to look into it more to see if I can apply thirst with the new update.

xR4YM0ND commented 1 year ago

Yeah thats right, only positive. I guess its like vanilla
