Choose a project management tool #1

We need to pick a tool to use to help us organize ClojureBridge workshops "in the open." RailsBridge is using github and creating issues to track each workshop. What are other possibilities?

Criteria list:

  1. Does this tool make it easier to coordinate a workshop?
  2. Public
  3. Easy to use
  4. Can create a template project
  5. Has checklists
  6. Free (at least for non-profits)
  7. Scalable to many tasks

What else?

Great list, succinct and clear. I would add maybe as an over-arching goal something like: "is it easier to coordinate a workshop with this tool or without?" For example a to do app would meet the above criteria (if all we're looking for is a checklist). Instead of focusing on implementation, we should focus on something that feels helpful not cumbersome/bureaucratic. Hard to be succinct and clear on that one : )

One minor suggestions, can we please change "has templates" to "We can create a template project"? I don't think we're looking for examples out-of-the-box but that we can copy a base project of our creation.

Beautiful. Updated the criteria list in above comment based on @7maples comments.
