Google Spreadsheet APIs are available here:
http://code.google.com/apis/spreadsheets/overview.html
Although there exists a Java implementation:
http://code.google.com/apis/spreadsheets/docs/2.0/developers_guide_java.html
this does not seem to be fully compatible with Android yet. A nice fully
Android-
compatible implementation would be the first step.
Inclusion in OI Shopping list and OI Notepad requires additional broadcast
intents
and should be implemented so that synchronization to other services can be
implemented easily.

This sounds like a good idea

Hi,
I am new to OpenIntents, and I don't have much of an idea about what you guys
do other than the obvious (that you are software developers.)
I am a sophomore student at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in India.
I want to participate in GSoC 2012. And while googling for it, I stumbled upon
(pun intended) your organisation. It is the belief of a lot of people that to
get started for GSoC, one needs to first make small contributions like fixing
tiny bugs and stuff. But I can't exactly figure out how to go about it (I mean,
the bugfixing). I can't exactly figure out how it's done.

Any help in this regard would be appreciated and I was wondering if this bug is
still unfixed?

This bug is still open, but some work on this has already started. I would not
recommend this issue for a beginner.

I would like to suggest that OI Shopping List sync with Google Tasks instead of
Spreadsheets. Can even be used in the future to allow due dates, and will also
show up on Google Calendar. There is already a Tasks API for Android. See link:
