A (slight) flicker when dragging to resize a window can be hard to avoid,
although in my experience it is not bad.
However, I have never had any flicker in any other situations. Perhaps you
have some plugin that causes spurious redraws? Try disabling your plugins.

It creates a bizarre window pattern/artifacting that immediately disappears
after the resize is complete. However it is a bit jarring.

Also, I am using the new experimental renderer as well. Since I believe I have
to with a retina mbp.
Also to note: I took the screenshot on an external monitor which is not retina,
but the results are identical.

I also get this (but only when resizing horizontally) on version 7.4 (snapshot
72 -- installed using homebrew). Retina mbp too. No plugins installed.
