Switching between apps using shortcuts on macOS | Arkadiusz Chmura

This is one of the most common activities when working on a computer. To make it as seamless as possible, I assigned a custom shortcut for every app I commonly use.

I use the same approach, but with rcmd. As the name suggests, it also takes over the right command key. The neat thing about it is that it's dynamic: if you have Safari open, it will assign rcmd+s to open/focus its windows. You can then make the bind static with rcmd+opt+s, so that rcmd+s will open the app if it's closed. I also use Raycast and saw that I could do the same thing with it, but I really love the blend of dynamic and static in rcmd.

@alanpearce thanks for mentioning rcmd. Looks like a great tool!
