@BushraMunaf

Please create a marketing plan/strategy for CloudKibo

In creating the marketing plan create a structure list of the task will go into the marketing plan. As a next step, I would like to review that.

It should include the competitive analysis for these vendors (you can add more)

AnyMeeting Call.me GotoMeeting HighFive MeetMe Skype Uberconference WebEx Zoom Join.me Facebook Messanger

Identify the customer needs and how these vendors and Cloudkibo are meeting this need or not.

How do we (Cloudkibo) differentiate from rest of these products?

What are some of Cloudkibo critical gaps?

Please include a SWAT analysis.

What should be the recommended pricing model for Cloudkibo?

What should be the Go to Market strategy?

In developing the plan, I would recommend that you talk to local customer and folks at one or more call centers

You should take the lead on this assignment and keep @Ayesha-Ahmed informed. You can give her some talk also.

For any technical details please see @sojharo

Create a list of question that you may have that needs clarification.

Also, identify what are the next step once this marketing plan is complete.

Please target 4 weeks for this assignment.

Sir, If we compare the target markets for cloudkibo and other softwares, we can clearly observe the differences between them. How to demonstrate this difference in competitive analysis?

sojharo commented 8 years ago

Bushra create an excel sheet on google docs. Rows should list the features and each column should be company name.

sojharo commented 8 years ago

This is a sample document. It does comparison of KiboSupport with Olark:

Open it with your cloudkibo email address. Keep it logged in when you click this URL.

Good job!!

In regards to your question

Just pick up the phone and introduce yourself as a student of IBA or working for CloudKibo and doing market research. You should to talk head of IT. 3-4 would be sufficient. You do not need to do this for international clients.

Asak Sir,

In monday's meeting you said that you'll send me some videos/documentation for further work?

Let me share few thoughts of mine on how I think about CloudKibo: Cloudkibo is very important to us. We would NOT BUILT CloudKibo if we did not think it was important.

KiboSupport / KiboEngage is built on top of CloudKibo.

We could have built KiboSupport / KiboEngage on top of another WebRtc platform. However, we chose to build on top of CloudKibo on purpose. Our continued commitment to invest in CloudKibo is only there because I believe CloudKibo is a very important asset.

This does not mean we will head on competing with Google or Facebook. We need to be pragmatic in our approach.

When Microsoft started 40 years ago, IBM was the giant. Microsoft very pragmatically decided not to head on with IBM on mainframe computers. But decided to start small on personal computer.

We need to find a value for CloudKibo that will allow us to grow. That is the task. 😀

Our first go to market for CloudKibo to use it as part of KiboEngage. However, that is very narrow.

WebRTC is very disruptive, and new business would come.

It is OUR JOB to figure that out and how to get there.

The possibilities are endless.

  1. The biggest opportunity is when we get embedded into other apps.
  2. Like KiboEngage some other company uses CloudKibo as their underlying technology.
  3. The other opportunity is in in country solution.
  4. Private implementation.

Our job is to figure that out.

I would like to see some adoption of CloudKibo. For that, I do not care what the price is. Even free is fine for now.

ASAK Sir, Following are my concerns,

-For embedding CloudKibo in applications, How do I contact the concerned people who are working on those applications. Like we can embed CK in any software, for example LMS. But LMS doesn’t need such app as CloudKibo. So how do we identify which application really need them and how to contact them? -Sojharo gave a good idea to make CloudKibo demonstration video (as one was made earlier) and post it on Facebook. Also while discussion we came to a conclusion CK should be marketed among IBA students on the basis of its audio/video conference feature. In this regard our target audience will be IBA students and faculty.
