From a base Ubuntu server install, 
packages libidn11-dev and libssl-dev where needed to successfully compile 
skipfish

Worth adding to the documentation ?

Well, I read it again and if the concepts are there, the useful pieces of 
information (package names) isn't really there.
At least it will be in this ticket :-)
