Hey there.

How are you? First of all, I would like to thank you for your work and sharing it with the GitHub community. I apologize for having opened an "issue", since this really isn't one, but rather just my way of reaching out to you.

Sorry to bother you, but I am really getting into the Hackintoshing community and I came across your repo as starting point as I am waiting for my EliteDesk 800 G3 Mini to arrive so I can put Sonoma on it.

However, my model is the i5-7500 one (NOT the "T" variant - which is 35W, I bought the 65W model, same as you), not the i7-7700.

Using your EFI as a base, I have been trying to figure out what I would need to modify in order to make it work perfectly for my model, but I am yet to have a good understanding of what to do.

Would you be able to help in understanding which fields need to be edited and with what values?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards, Bruno.

Hey! No need to apologize, that's the community for. To answer your question - you don't need any specific adjustments for i5-7500 model. All you need to do is to generate SMBIOS and have fun with your hack. You can do it through OCAT or the tool I've shared a link at the bottom of the page. My EFI is built to work with Sonoma and Intel Wifi/BT card. I don't have my G3 anymore, but if you have any issues feel free to ask. If I can help, I will.

Hey there. Thank you for the quick reply and the understanding.

I had no idea nothing had to be edited. I was taking the SP4 (Surface Pro 4) as an example, as there were slight changes that had to be made from the i5 to the i7 variants, hence my train of thought. Must have been because these devices are laptops, rather than desktops and the fixes were related mostly to video output, which I wrongfully assumed would be the case for the 800 G3 Mini as well. Thank you for clearing it up.

As for the SMBIOS, I'm guessing I should generate one based off of the "Macmini8,1" model, as per your config.plist.

I bought mine with an Intel Wifi card as well and I'll run your EFI and report back. However, I also have an ACER Nitro 5 AN-515-52, which originally had an Intel Card and then I changed it to a BCM94360NG in order for it to work perfectly under Sonoma (using OCLP), as the Intel cards severely lacked support back then (I think it was around 4 or 5 months ago, I'm not sure).

Does the fact that you have (had) your setup up and running mean that Intel cards now work under Sonoma without any major issues? If so, that's great news, as I won't be needing to buy a Broadcom card for my G3 Mini and also I might re-install the Intel card on my ACER Nitro 5, to re-enable Wifi support under ChromeOS over the 118 version (as I multi-boot on every single machine).

Once again, I really appreciate your kindness and willingness to help.

Thank you so much.

Oh. By the way, (and I'm sorry to bother again), I bought the HDMI expansion port as well, in order to replace the VGA port that comes with it.

Is there anything I need to add, remove or edit in order to get it to work or it will it just automagically work?

Thank you in advance, Bruno.

Gotcha. Just try my EFI and let me know if it's working for you. I don't use other Apple devices and the Intel Wifi/BT card worked great for my needs. No issues at all. As for the HDMI , usually you have to specify the ports in DP section, but again - test the EFI first and then do any changes if needed. SMBIOS - easy to generate one for "Macmini8,1"
