How to use Wii controller for 6 buttons Sega Megadrive games like MK3? #1427

Hi. I can play Sega Megadrive games with Wii controller but only works 3 buttons A,B,C. How to assign X.Y.Z for games on Sega like MK3?

Which console do you use: NES or SNES Classic?

I am using NES Classic.

If i am correct, u mean Sega Mega Drive (2) and/or Genesis. Then it uses a so-called "6 buttons" controller. Run a game for Sega. Then enter RetroArch menu. If you didn't change the setup - then its just "Select"+"Start" combination.

I am really using some noname cinese wireless controllers and when i use "Start"+"Select" - they are pre-programed to use it as a Reset button. So, i had to use my original Snes Classic Mini controllers to enter Retroarch menu for the first time. Its also configurable options, however there are not much good to use combinations.

There you need to customize your controls and save a game or core remap file. I really prefer a game remap files, however it depends on your taste.

Thank you so much for help. With your help I figured out how to do this. I just wanna add some information: at OPTIONS it needs to be turned on 6 BUTTON PAD. Because it was turn on 3 button pad.
