I Tried To Download Homebrew ROMs Onto the SNES Classic, There Were Some Problems... #1429

First, I downloaded some ROMs that were made to be used on computers, which I didn't know at the time. Then, I noticed that the console wouldn't turn on, so I deleted the games and it still didn't work. When I try to sync with the system, it says "can't unpack ramdisk". I also checked the kernel dump only to find that it wasn't there, and the kernel itself says it's corrupted. I abandoned it for months because I didn't think I could do anything about it. I get very depressed when I think about it because I love the games, especially the ones I put on it like "Super Mario All-Stars" & the other two "Donkey Kong Country" games. I'm desperate for answers. If nothing helpful comes by, I'll just have to sell the controllers and cables to save up for another one if they're not already extinct from Amazon. Would anyone buy a broken console?

Now, it isn't bricked. It still turns on, but that's about the only thing that separates it from a brick.

hakchi2 is no longer supported. Please use hakchi2 CE (aka Hakchi 3) from https://github.com/TeamShinkansen/hakchi2/releases. To solve this issue specifically, please use Snes9x 2010 from RetroArch instead of Canoe to solve this issue.

Wow. This is late but, will doing that reverse the effects?

I misread your post, and I'm not sure. You could try uninstalling using your current version of Hakchi. The brick likely isn't permanent.
