Which machine is better for modding? #1455

I'm planning to buy one but not clear which is better if I want to play NES/SNES games or etc... I see that NES Mini has much more space. Hardware modding is not a goal for me but if possible to extend or change the internal storage for a bigger one I would definitely choose the SNES Mini. So which one is better overall?
